ABOUT US

A mentorship program with a mission to increase the financial literacy of young Black and Brown adults.

Project Come Up is a NEW nonprofit organization with a sole focus to foster growth among the disenfranchised. Our strategy is focused on providing educational platforms and investment opportunities for underrepresented minority communities. By providing them with the knowledge and tools to learn and grow, we believe ‘the sky’s the limit.’ Project Come Up’s Advisory team is a stable group of successful and diverse business leaders across finance, media and marketing.

We teach you everything you need to know & we’ll contribute $2,000 to get you started*

*Funds will not be available until mentee completes financial literacy curriculum and funds vest in brokerage account for full 12 Months

ARE YOU FINANCIALLY LITERATE?

While financial literacy is an issue throughout the United States, it is even greater for Black and Brown communities. Did you know nearly two-thirds of Americans cannot pass a basic test of financial literacy? AND African-American financial literacy lags that of whites (% of P-Fin questions answered correctly).

Learn it.

Project Come Up is an opportunity for mentees, who generally do not have access, to learn about financial literacy and planning in order to build a successful professional career and financial stability throughout life. Mentees are encouraged to sign up for the sixth month program which includes a paired mentor, as well as a curriculum of lessons, quizzes and a final test.

Build it.

Mentees will receive a $2,000 brokerage account upon inception into Project Come Up that will help initiate and build wealth. The fund will become available for withdrawal once the final financial literacy test is passed. However, Project Come Up encourages mentees to invest in the fund following the end of the curriculum, in order to continue to build financial stability for the future.

Grow it.

Project Come Up is meant to be an investment, beyond the one-year program. Mentees are encouraged to continue growing a professional network as well as a savings account using tools and resources provided by Project Come Up, empowering them to have a financially successful life.
